Every step of every mandate is run with current language models and specialised legal software.

Contract analysis, due diligence, clause comparison, legal research, first drafts and compliance review are all produced with these tools. Each AI-prepared work product is reviewed and signed off by the attorney. AI does not accept mandates, does not release pleadings, and does not communicate independently with clients or opposing parties.

This page is transparent about which tools we use. The selection is reviewed continuously against new offerings and updated whenever a tool delivers a measurable step forward.

Language models

Mandate work uses the flagship models of the three leading providers — Claude by Anthropic, GPT by OpenAI and Gemini by Google. The model best suited to the task is selected case by case. For sensitive mandate data, only Enterprise tiers with contractually guaranteed data separation are used; consumer tiers are excluded from mandate work.

Contract analysis and document review

Robin AI for structured data-room and portfolio reviews. Spellbook for contract drafting and editing directly inside the Word workflow. Harvey for selected high-end mandates where the client setting and fee structure support its use.

Legal research

Beck-online with its built-in AI features as the DACH data base. Lexis+ AI as a complement for international research questions and pattern search.

Workflow automation

Make.com and n8n for connecting AI tools to mandate data, document management and communication systems. Custom Python pipelines where standard tools fall short — for example, for processing large data-room volumes with non-standardised document formats.

Responsibility

Every AI-prepared work product is reviewed and signed off by the attorney. Mandate data does not leave the controlled environment; training exclusion is contractually guaranteed. The setup operates in compliance with attorney–client privilege, data protection law and the EU AI Act.

What this means for you

This way of working makes fixed-fee engagements the preferred form of remuneration; fees are agreed in writing before the mandate begins. And it gives every single question in a mandate an analytical depth that conventionally structured matters could not deliver economically.

How we put this to work for you

The same expertise in using and implementing these tools is offered to in-house legal teams and law firms as a consulting service. Tool selection, pilot and roll-out implementation, workflow integration, EU AI Act compliance, and training programmes for legal teams.
